Civic Engagement Officer – Newry Mourne and Down

37 hours per week (part-time of 28 hours will be considered)

Salary: £27,041 per annum

The NM&D Citizens E-Panel – Living Well Together project is an initiative of the Newry Mourne and Down (NM&D) Community Planning Partnership (CPP).
A project steering group has been established which has successfully delivered a pilot civic engagement project and now requires the support of an officer to work with them and the community and statutory partners to deliver the next phase of the NM&D Citizens E-Panel – Living Well Together.

The main purpose of the role is to shape and distribute several civic engagements initiatives using a digital platform to deliver and stimulate a change and introduce a more innovative approach of engaging with citizens in Newry Mourne and Down.

Projects & Administration Officer

DTNI will deliver a new project on Community Wealth Building and a Support Network for Social Entrepreneurs. To support the delivery of these projects we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic self starter to work alongside our existing staff team. The post can be taken as F/T (35hrs) or P/T (28hrs). DTNI is presently operating a blended working environment, this includes an element of office based and home based working.

This post offers variety and includes providing administrative and project development and delivery support for DTNI. The post-holder will offer support to the programme manager and other project officers to deliver DTNI Projects.

The successful applicant will;

  • Providing administrative support in line with effective and efficient office management and operational activity.
  • Providing information and advice to community organisations interested or involved with the Community Wealth Building and Support Network for Social Entrepreneurs projects.
  • Providing project development support to the Programme Manager, the project officers working on Community Wealth Building and Support Network for Social Entrepreneurs projects, and the board of Directors.
  • Contribute to the collation of information and development resources for organisations engaged with the Community Wealth Building and Support Network for Social Entrepreneurs projects
